Exemplars explained

Definition

exemplar
noun
a person or thing serving as a typical example or appropriate model.

What is an exemplar

ReRum uses exemplars as a set of rules for automatically creating activities when a booking is added to a Unit. For example if you want a check out clean activity creating every time you add a booking into Unit 1 then an exemplar can be used to do this.
Typically exemplars are used for housekeeping activity creation such as weekly cleans and check out cleans but could be used for any type of automatic activity creation, triggered by a booking being added to a unit.

System exemplars

The system comes with a set of exemplars pre-defined for you. These exemplars consist of:
Mon Clean Team 1This add a weekly clean every Monday for the length of the stay and assigns it to housekeeping team 1
Tue Clean Team 1This add a weekly clean every Tuesday for the length of the stay and assigns it to housekeeping team 1
Wed Clean Team 1This add a weekly clean every Wednesday for the length of the stay and assigns it to housekeeping team 1
Thu Clean Team 1This add a weekly clean every Thursday for the length of the stay and assigns it to housekeeping team 1
Fri Clean Team 1This add a weekly clean every Friday for the length of the stay and assigns it to housekeeping team 1
Mon - Fri Dynamic Clean Team 1This adds an intelligent weekly clean in which will be every week on the day the booking checked in but only on a Week day (Mon - Fri). So if the booking checks in on a Tuesday then the cleans will start the following Tuesday and all subsequent Tuesday's. If the Booking checks in on a Saturday then the clean will be set to every Friday, if the booking checks in on a Sunday then the clean will be every Monday (but not the first Monday as that would be the day after check in).

You cannot currently configure your own new exemplars but you can request them to be added.
