Release notes for 12th March 2018 (1.24.0):


Sales

New Features

  • Enquiry rates now supports 4 decimal points instead of just 2 when you are overriding rates. For some weekly rates when billed as daily rates it is necessary to calculate the rate to 4 decimal places. The back end rates tables in Rerum allow rates to be specified to 4 d.p. however it was not possible to override the rates to the same level of accuracy. This has now been resolved;  when making an enquiry  and amending an existing room stay, you can now enter prices to 4 d.p to ensure prices match up (round up) correctly.


Improvements

  • Under certain circumstances it was possible for two of the same chargeable extras to be added to a stay, which would flow through to invoicing - we have fixed this so it is only possible to add one of a type of extra to a stay.
  • Significant performance improvements have been made to the Availability Grid. 
  • When there was no search criteria specified on in the availability grid, it was possible to trigger an error when changing between another tab and the grid. This has been fixed so no error appears now.

  • The filtering on the Activity listing has been improved to allow status to be selected from a number of options, the functionality allows you to multi-select using ctrl-click.

  • Checking out two keys to a guest would not load the guest field correctly when checking out the second key. This has been improved to show the current guest in the booking straight away.

New Features

  • Compulsory Extras on rates are now available - this feature allows you to specify additional charges on your rates. This can be used to add one-off or recurring fees that are not included in your standard accommodation cost. This can be configured on the Compulsory Extras tab in a rate plan. When selecting +Add Extra, it will display a screen which shows all the chargeable extras defined in the system. Once selected and updated, it will then become a mandatory fee on top of the accommodation price.

    In order to create Compulsory Extras, you will need to create a new Chargeable Extra via. Admin → Finance → Chargeable Extra → Add, then it will appear in the +Add Extra list to select. 

  • The compulsary extras are now shown on the Internet Booking Engine under the fees section

  • The Internet Booking Engine will now allow you to add additional extras to your bookings during the online booking process 

  • Within Admin → Finance → Chargeable Extra, you now have an IBE section which includes a tick box to make it selectable in the IBE and a Web Description field as you may want to display the Chargeable Extra as another description then what you have in the system. 

Improvements

  • Assigning a room stay to an invoice item was only possible for stays up to confirmed status, it is now possible to do this on post check out.
  • On some browsers the ability to download a PDF copy of a Sales Receipts was not working, this has been fixed.

Reporting

New Features

  • New Report Called - "Account Performance by Booking - Grouped by Billing Account" which is found within the sales category of reports. The report is similar to the "Account Performance by Booking Report" but looks at the Billing Account on bookings rather than the Booking Account. 


Improvements

  • Landlords Commission Report - Uses now uses the system wide Primary VAT profile (see , if none are set then the report will use the Standard 20% VAT as it currently does.

Improvements

  • Bcc: on email templates had caused an error to appear under certain circumstances. This allows you to BCC CRM systems or team emails. This can be added within Admin → Templates → Email Templates → Bcc:.
  • Channel Deducted at source had a vat inclusive calculation error under some circumstance, which is now fixed to display the correct figures.
